The story of YK 92
The 1992 Elections ushered in a new era in Kenya’s political landscape. For the first time, the country was to experience a competitive political field, after then President, Daniel Arap Moi gave a nod to repeal section 2A of the Constitution of Kenya, bringing back multi-party democracy.
But it is also a year that the ruling party changed how campaigns were done by mobilising the youth vote and the involvement of money to woo voters. NTV’s Enock Sikolia brings us the story of ‘YK ’92,’ a youth wing that campaigned for Moi’s re-election amid increased pressure for change.
